IBM is seeking an Industrial and Production Control Engineer to work in the fast-paced and dynamic Center for Semicondutor Research in Albany, NY. At the state-of-the-art 300 mm semiconductor Research and Development line, we are developing future generation logic and memory technology to drive the best performance in the industry. We seek a motivated engineer to join our Production Control and Industrial Engineering team supporting our facility. Responsibilities include
- Identifying pinch points and bottlenecks in the line
- Working closely with engineers in each sector to identify improvements and optimizations to increase facility overall productivity
- Helping to manage mix of products in the line to maximize overall utilization and cycles of learning
- Developing models, databases, spreadsheets, and reports to analyze productivity data and establish key productivity targets
- Spending time in the Fab to validate metrics and identify improvement opportunities
- Coordinating production starts and WIP flow
- Sizing and advising on man to machine (MTM) requirements to meet productivity targets

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field, or minimum 3 years’ experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
· At least 1 year of experience working in a collaborative environment across multiple engineering disciplines.
· Basic understanding of programming – Python, Java, SQL.
· Experience with data visualization
· Experience with data analysis and interpretation
