We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Sourcing Lead to join our Global Strategic Sourcing team which supports IBM in over 80 countries. This position will be responsible for leading and executing complex deals and coordinating regional requirements for various indirect categories, across time zones and geographies.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding one or more indirect categories with a proven track record in procurement, and excellent negotiation skills.
- Listen to Client requirements and identify their Business Needs, which logistics service the company needs.
- Identify Vendors candidates
- Submit Purchase Request/Request for Quotation
- Assess and select vendors
- Evaluate , negotiate price and terms
- Maintain Supplier relationship
- Work on logistics contract amendments
- Create a purchase order associated to the Vendor
- Support Audits
- Approve the invoice and arrange payment
- Work with Finance and Account Payable
- Review spend and alignment with RFQ Awarded Business Case
- Work closely with client and other function to reduce overall supply chain costs, by optimizing shipping costs and improving inventory management.
- Maintaining the balance between product availability and cost, by forecasting demand, monitors stock levels and uses effective strategies to avoid costly overstocking and stock-outs
- Risk management: anticipate and manage supply chain risks, identifying backup suppliers and preventing delivery delays.
