At IBM Consulting, we help organizations navigate complex challenges, drive growth, and unlock value through strategic transformation. Our Strategy & Transformation Deals team partners with clients across industries to support high-impact transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, and post-deal integrations.

Your role and responsibilities

- Undergraduate students who will graduate in December 2026 or later.


- Support market and industry research, financial and operational analysis related to transactions

 

- Assist in the development of client deliverables, including strategy presentations, operating models, and transformation plans


- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on commercial due diligence, synergy assessments, and integration planning

 

- Contribute to internal knowledge development and strategic initiatives within the firm

 

- Participate in client meetings, workshops, and project reviews when appropriate

Required education
High School Diploma/GED
Preferred education
None
Required technical and professional expertise

- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s level preferred)

 

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required

 

- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

 

- Interest in strategic consulting, transactions, and corporate transformation

 

- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment

 

- Prior internship or experience in consulting, corporate strategy, finance, or related fields is a plus
