Developer (Product Characterization), IBM Corporation, Poughkeepsie, NY (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted)

 

  • Analyze high-speed I/O (input/output) signals from on chip IP (intellectual property) in wafers, module, and system form. 
  • Support end-to-end analog circuit characterization for IOBIST (Input Output Built-In Self-Test). 
  • Define and enhance test methodologies to verify the I/O functionality. 
  • Provide essential instructions that will guide the I/O team and help improve yield/performing for future nano technologies. 
  • Coordinate with test and design teams to perform corrective actions with semiconductor fabrication supplier. 
  • Present I/O product analysis to the microprocessor development teams and production teams, this includes test, design for test, characterization, yield, and quality. 
  • Work with the production manufacturing team for module build on any I/O issues. 
  • Characterize the I/O circuit, identify process issues, design issues early in the product development cycle to drive changes and improve yield and product quality as it relates to I/O circuits. 
  • Characterize Analog Circuit IOBIST signatures on IBM microprocessor products. 
  • Own the Specification sheets (EMTS) for this analog circuit across the product suite and official document for Systems team and customers. 
  • Develop software applications for IP Char product engineer team to improve productivity and analytics to find yield and quality issues faster. 
  • Present detailed reports to stakeholders, test teams, design teams, and product engineering on a regular basis. 
  • Deliver analysis and characterization on field returns related to IO fails across products and generations. 
  • Utilize: Product Characterization Circuit, SQL, Python, Java, Wafer/Module Test Analysis, Yield Modeling, Electrical probing, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM+ nProber), Electric circuit design/analysis.

 

Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Hardware Developer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Product Characterization Circuit, SQL, Python, Java, Wafer/Module Test Analysis, Yield Modeling, Electrical probing, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM+ nProber), Electric circuit design/analysis. $165942 per year.
