Introduction

We are looking for an experienced ETL Developer to design and build solutions for extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes, primarily using Informatica PowerCenter and IBM DataStage. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the full lifecycle implementation of technical components and strong skills in SQL-based environments.

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain ETL mappings using Informatica PowerCenter and IBM DataStage
Extract data from various databases and external source systems using ETL tools
Analyze source systems, design transformation logic, map data, and load it into target systems
Create and modify table structures to align with the Data Model
Build and maintain Mapplets, Reusable Transformations, Source and Target definitions
Develop shell scripts for Unix/Linux environments
Write and optimize SQL and PL/SQL code
Manage configuration and deployment using GIT
Use CFT (Cross File Transfer) and Control-M for job scheduling and automation
Perform third-level support: maintenance, restoration, and configuration management of ETL solution deliveries
Debug and resolve code-level issues in ETL workflows

Required Skills:
Proficiency with Informatica PowerCenter and IBM DataStage
Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Unix Shell scripting
Experience with GIT, CFT, and Control-M
Good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and ETL best practices
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Experience working in Agile teams


Language Requirements:
Fluency in both French and English is required 

Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with cloud-based ETL platforms (e.g., AWS Glue, Google Cloud Dataflow, etc.)
  • Proficiency in data governance and data quality tools (e.g., data validation, data cleansing, etc.)
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Advanced experience with data security and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) and data encryption techniques (e.g., SSL/TLS, etc.)
