As a key member of the IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service development team, you will:
Work with core technologies such as Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift.
Develop robust, secure, and scalable microservices deployed on IaaS platforms across multiple data centers and time zones.
Automate CI/CD pipelines and observability challenges related to these services.
Write business logic primarily in Go and use Ansible for automation tasks.

Your day-to-day activities will include:
Breaking down complex tasks into manageable pieces.
Writing clean, efficient code.
Testing software thoroughly before deployment.
Supporting the services you develop in production environments.
You will take ownership of designing and implementing high-impact functionality using Golang, source control across both private and public GitHub repositories.
You will champion automation by architecting and applying Ansible playbooks to streamline infrastructure management.
You will help in efforts with scripting with Python and Bash, integrating complex workflows into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or Tekton.
We expect you to hold (or be close to completing) a BSc/MSc in Computer Science or an equivalent discipline, ensuring strong fundamentals we can rely on.
Your proven track record in object-oriented design principles is essential. You’ve successfully developed production-grade services or products from concept through deployment, demonstrating architectural vision alongside hands-on coding excellence.
Containerization: Experience in using Docker, Podman, and Rancher to build and run applications efficiently.
CI/CD Tools: Familiar with continuous integration and delivery frameworks such as Jenkins and Travis CI at the user level.
Orchestration Platforms: Experienced with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift. Deep knowledge or hands-on experience with their internal workings is a strong advantage.
