In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

Experienced Java Developer with strong skills in microservices architecture, cloud deployment, and modern development practices. Proven ability to design and implement scalable, high-performance solutions for large-scale applications, ensuring reliability, security, and continuous delivery.

Core Technical Skills

• Java Development: experience building microservices using Java Spring Boot;

• Microservices Architecture: Significant expertise in designing and implementing distributed systems;

• Databases:

    • Strong knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, Postgres);

    • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, Yugabyte);

• Messaging Systems:

    • Preferred experience with Kafka or equivalent messaging architectures.

DevOps and CI/CD

• Hands-on experience with:

    • Docker or similar containerization technologies;

    • GIT for version control;

    • CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments;

• Writing unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality.

Monitoring and Observability

• Knowledge of monitoring tools and dashboard configuration using Grafana, Datadog, etc;

• Familiarity with deployment processes and related tools.

Cloud Platforms

• Preferably experienced with Azure Cloud or other cloud environments;

• Understanding of cloud-native development and deployment strategies.

Methodologies and Soft Skills

• Experience with Agile methodologies and principles;

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Required education
Bachelor's Degree

Requisitos Imprescindiveis:

  • Experience developing microservices for large scale applications using Java Springboot;
  • Significant Microservices architecture and development skills;
  • Significant knowledge of SQL Databases and NoSQL Databases ( example : SQL Server, Postgres, Cassandra, Yugabyte );
  • Preferred experience in Messaging architectures & development- Kafka or equivalent;
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and principles;
  • Proven Experience working with Docker or similar technologies, GIT, CI/CD and writing unit/integration tests;
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred technical and professional experience

Requisitos Desejaveis:

  • Knowledge in using Monitoring tools and configuring dashboards like Grafana or datadog etc;
  • Knowledge of deployment process and tools;
  • Preferably with Azure cloud working experience or any other cloud working knowledge.
