At , work is more than a job - it's a calling: To build. To design. To code. To consult. To think along with clients and sell. To make markets. To invent. To collaborate. Not just to do something better, but to attempt things you've never thought possible. Are you ready to lead in this new era of technology and solve some of the world's most challenging problems? If so, let's talk.
If you're a student interested in generative-AI, deep learning, computer vision or natural language processing, and you're looking to come to a summer intern position where you will do research with academic and industrial impact, then this position is for you!
Our team develops innovative technologies, models, and algorithms that shape the future of AI and impact IBM products. We are dedicated to publishing cutting-edge research in leading AI conferences and filing patents based on the work we do.
As an intern, you will contribute to advancing Multimodal Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), a rapidly growing domain at the intersection of machine learning, multimodal AI, and generative models. Your work will focus on developing and optimizing systems that seamlessly integrate diverse data modalities—such as text, images, and structured data—to build intelligent, adaptive, and scalable solutions.
Key research areas include designing advanced retrieval mechanisms, improving cross-modality alignment, and incorporating generative models that leverage multimodal inputs. You may explore techniques such as vision-language modeling, multimodal fusion, embedding strategies, and generative AI methods to address challenges in this domain.
Succeeding in these tasks is anticipated to have a meaningful influence on the research community in these exciting fields and result in a publication in a leading venue (e.g., CVPR, ICLR, ICCV)
Join us to make a meaningful impact on the future of multimodal AI.
Our summer internship program offer you an opportunity to join our research team for 3 months internship (working 5 days a week) in either Haifa or Tel Aviv sites (according to each internship). During the internship, you will be working with our talented researcher on top projects, helping create the next generation of AI, security, quantum, cloud and much more.
- Current M.Sc. or Ph.D. student in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering)
- Basic knowledge or coursework in Deep Learning, Computer Vision, or Natural Language Processing (experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow is a plus)
- Strong coding skills in Python
- Enthusiasm for learning and discussing recent advancements in Deep Learning methods
- A collaborative team player with good communication skills
