As a Hardware Performance Modelling & Bringup Manager you will manage a team of high performing hardware performance modelling and bring up engineers. The team is responsible for modelling the Power processor (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power10) and systems (https://www.ibm.com/power) which is used to evaluate the performance of new generation Power processor and systems and provide design guidance. The team is also responsible for performance verification and bringup of new Power processor and systems.
As a Hardware Performance Modelling & Bingup Manager your responsibilities would include
- Manage a team of highly skilled hardware performance modeling, bringup & verification engineers
- Working with technical architects and stakeholder to understand the processor and system roadmap and performance targets
- Developing detailed project and execution plans for hardware modeling, verification and bringup aligning with the processor and system roadmap
- Tracking execution status, resolving roadblocks and providing updates to key stakeholders
- Driving innovation and process improvements
- Nurture and grow team members
- Attracting and hiring new talent
- At least 15+ years on IT industry experience in product development
- At least 5+ years of experience as a project manager
- At least 5+ years of experience as a people manager managing project teams
- Experience developing or managing hardware performance models or teams
- Experience in performance verification test
- Experience in processor and system bringup
- Experience in project management methodologies like Agile/Scrum/Waterfall
- Experience in using project management tools like Jira/Github/Zenhub/RTC/MS Project Office
- Understanding on hardware performance modeling methodologies like Cycle Accurate, RTL, TLM
- Good communication and presentation skills
