We are seeking a results-driven Cloud DevOps Engineer to join the IBM team working on the IBM WebMethods Hybrid Integration (IWHI) platform. In this role, you will help architect and build scalable, automated cloud infrastructure using Terraform and modern DevOps practices. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to improve delivery velocity, ensure reliability, and support continuous integration across hybrid cloud environments.
This is a high-impact engineering role with a focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipeline development, environment automation, and system optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in an agile, cross-functional environment to build, deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure and core services
- Partner with development teams to enable a robust continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipeline across dev, test, staging, and production environments
- Build reusable Terraform automation and templates to provision infrastructure on IBM Cloud and hybrid platforms
- Design and implement tools for automated deployment, A/B testing, and environment monitoring
- Automate, measure, and optimize system performance, availability, and scalability
- Develop and maintain GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines
- Work to prevent defects early and sustain high productivity by emphasizing proactive testing and automation
- Ensure secure, compliant, and reliable deployments in a multi-cloud or hybrid infrastructure
- Proven experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with AWS and Azure services and deployment patterns
- Solid understanding of GitOps principles and deployment automation
- Hands-on experience with container tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python)
- Experience with Linux systems
- Ability to debug, optimize, and monitor cloud-based infrastructure
- Experience with IBM WebMethods or other enterprise integration platforms
- Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
- Background in cloud security, compliance, and access management
