As a Workforce Software Consultant, you will serve as a client-facing practitioner working collaboratively with clients to deliver high-quality solutions and be a trusted business advisor with deep understanding of Workforce delivery methodology or equivalent and associated work products.
You will work on projects that assist clients in integrating strategy, process, technology, and information to enhance effectiveness, reduce costs, and improve profit and shareholder value. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and assess the current system landscape to understand integration needs.
- Interface design, customization & development: Lead the design and strategy of workforce management system interfaces to ensure seamless integration with HR, payroll, ERP, and other enterprise systems. Customize and develop interfaces based on client-specific needs, leveraging tools and technologies like APIs, ETL processes, and middleware solutions.
- System Configuration, Integration & Data Mapping: Configure and implement software interfaces to link workforce management systems with external applications, ensuring data consistency across platforms. Oversee the mapping and transformation of data between different systems, ensuring compatibility and integrity during the interface process.
- Testing, Validation, Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Develop and execute detailed test plans to validate the functionality, accuracy, and performance of interfaces prior to deployment. Monitor interface performance and optimize data processing speed, system responsiveness, and error-handling mechanisms to ensure high reliability.
- Issue Resolution, Documentation, Reporting, Compliance & Security Management: Provide expert troubleshooting support for interface-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner. Maintain thorough documentation of interface configurations, processes, data mappings, and issue resolutions for ongoing reference and compliance purposes. Ensure all interfaces adhere to data privacy, security standards, and compliance regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, or other applicable industry standards.
- Client Training & Support and Collaboration & Communication: Provide client training sessions and user manuals to ensure smooth adoption of the integrated interface solutions and offer ongoing technical support. Act as the liaison between technical teams (developers, engineers) and business stakeholders (HR, payroll, IT) to ensure alignment on interface needs and solutions.
- Change Management & Continuous Improvement: Facilitate change management processes by ensuring that all stakeholders are informed about system updates, interface changes, and new feature rollouts. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in workforce management and system integration to continually enhance interface performance.
Technical Requirements:
Workforce Management Systems Expertise: Deep knowledge and experience in the implementation, configuration, and integration of leading workforce management systems (e.g., Kronos, ADP, UKG, Workforce Dimensions).
Interface Design & Architecture: Expert in designing scalable, reliable, and secure interface architectures between workforce management systems and other enterprise solutions such as HRIS, Payroll, ERP, and Time & Attendance systems.
API Integration: Proficient in using APIs (REST, SOAP, Web Services) for seamless integration between various software platforms, ensuring efficient data flow and system communication.
Data Mapping & Transformation: Expertise in mapping and transforming complex data sets, ensuring that data between workforce systems and third-party applications is consistent, accurate, and meaningful.
ETL Tools & Middleware Solutions: Skilled in working with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools and middleware platforms to automate and streamline interface processes, enhancing data quality and minimizing manual interventions.
SQL & Database Management: Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying and managing large data sets, including custom reports, data extraction, and ensuring compatibility between database structures in integrated systems.
Interface Testing & Quality Assurance: In-depth experience in creating and executing test cases for validating interface functionality, ensuring end-to-end integration testing, and troubleshooting during UAT (User Acceptance Testing) phases.
Cloud-Based Integration: Familiarity with cloud-based workforce solutions and SaaS platforms, with experience in integrating on-premise systems with cloud applications like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Technical Troubleshooting & Debugging: Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve issues in complex integration scenarios, including data discrepancies, connectivity problems, and performance bottlenecks.
Business Intelligence & Reporting: Ability to work with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create insightful reports and dashboards from integrated data, helping stakeholders make informed decisions based on real-time information.
Performance Tuning & Optimization: Expertise in optimizing the performance of interfaces, improving data transfer speeds, and ensuring minimal system downtime or lag during peak operation periods.
Security & Data Governance
Security & Compliance Best Practices: In-depth knowledge of security standards (e.g., OAuth, SSL/TLS) and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA) to ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance in integrated interfaces.
Data Governance & Data Integrity: Expertise in ensuring data governance and integrity across integrated systems, implementing strategies to avoid data corruption or loss during data transfers.
Client Engagement
Client-Facing Skills & Requirements Analysis: Strong interpersonal skills for gathering client requirements, providing technical consultations, and delivering clear, actionable insights during client interactions and meetings.
Agile Methodology & Project Management: Experience working in agile project environments, using tools like Jira, Trello, or Microsoft Project to manage and track interface integration tasks, deliverables, and timelines.
