The Blue Studio is IBM’s internal creative team, responsible for the strategic evolution and expression of the IBM brand across every experience and encounter, internally and externally. About Your Role
Program Managers articulate a program's strategy and objectives and assesses how it will impact a business. They are often the lead day-to-day subject matter expert (SME) providing strategic recommendations and analysis as well as responding to ad-hoc requests. Program Managers define and oversee numerous dependent projects needed to reach the program's overall goals. Responsibilities include solution definition, deployment, testing, and implementations of complex solution architectures utilizing Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.
Program Managers may be responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of various projects, including site launches, online tools, web applications, and marketing collateral deliverables. Program Managers coordinate the cross-functional work required to deliver a complete experience on schedule and within budget. Their goal is to facilitate the delivery of projects within a program with a finite project start and end dates.
The Blue Studio Program Manager will report to the Blue Studio Global Practice Director, Workflow & Compliance in the United States of America. Based on the expectations of this role, the Program Manager should have experience working in marketing and/or digital services, alongside or in-house at creative agencies and/or design production studios.
- Managing multiple large and complete projects with multiple workstreams and or phases
- Developing detailed program and project plans to monitor and track program and project progress
- Defining statements of work, project charters, risk and mitigation assessments, and project governance structures
- Leading and coordinating program planning, resourcing, staffing, reporting, and troubleshooting
- Monitoring performance and recommending schedule, scope, budget, and / or resource changes as needed to satisfy program requirements
- Communicating the status of programs, projects and project goals, ensuring that results meet requirements with respect to quality, efficacy, schedule, and cost
- Building trusted relationships and alignment of expectations with business leaders and business partners
- Acting as the primary contact for partners throughout the program and project lifecycles, adding domain expertise and building strong relationships across the organization
- Ensuring the overall health of programs, projects, workflows, and processes for business teams
- work with the creative team to ensure goods and services are received as scoped
- Collaboration with the operations team to ensure invoices are submitted and approved in a timely manner
- Ensure evidence of receipt of goods is collected, stored, and submitted
- Manage escalation of service issues against assigned area of responsibility
- Fluent in verbal and written English
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field
- Five or more years of program management, consulting, and/or customer support
- Experience interfacing with internal partners, Marketing/Sales management, and operations personnel
- Experience managing multiple complex projects effectively, including all phases
- Applied knowledge of Agile PM fundamentals
