The IBM Research ETE organization will provide the buildout of systems in the POK building 008 datacenter. Responsibilities would include installing new servers in accordance with IBM security standards and project/operational requirements. Maintaining and improving compliant processes and procedures for; installation, configuration, operations, maintenance and support. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, key system processes, and reviewing system / application logs. Create, change, and delete user accounts per request. Investigate and troubleshoot, repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies. Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, upgrade administrative tools and utilities as necessary.
- System building/debugging/testing skills
- System Engineering experience in Linux and Microsoft Windows
- System automation tools (ansible)
- Software engineering practices including agile techniques
- Experience with Dell Systems platform management
- Systems Engineer certification in Linux and Microsoft
- Network Engineering skills
