In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

As a Digital Technical Specialist aligned to zStack, you'll be a collaborative technical expert and trusted advisor working with and across your clients, IBM's broader sales teams, and Business Partners. You'll understand clients' business and technical requirements within the current competitive landscape and, combining this with your knowledge of IBM's product suite, you'll present value-driving solutions that compel clients to invest in us. We're committed to success. In this role, your achievements will drive your career, team, and clients to thrive. A typical day may involve: zStack Leadership: Leading as the primary zStack expert, managing technical sales opportunities within the team. Technical Support Excellence: Offering technical support during early sales stages, including demos, POCs, and workshops for all client types. Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborating across IBM sales teams to manage territories and identify opportunities. Value Communication: Communicating the unique value of assigned brand products compared to competitors. Digital Personal Brand Building: Building a strong personal brand across various digital platforms to establish trust and expertise.

  • Full stack developers should be able to work in the modern cloud-native environment, 3-5 years of experience required
  • The cloud-native solutions are built around: Microservices based modular designs, API driven microservices, Continuous release and improvement cycle via Agile, Event Driven Architectures, Containerized workloads, Serverless Architectures, Purposed databases and Progressive Web Applications based on SPA and micro frontends, A full stack developer should have deep skills in: Developing rich UI applications based on SPA or
  • Micro frontends Frameworks: ReactJS, Angular (any one of these) Development of scalable and resilient backend microservices that are based on 12 factor principles.
  • Bounded context of the business domain and expose the functionality via API and event interface.
  • Code Deploy, Code Pipeline, Code Commit, Tektone, KMS, Secrets Manager, IAM, Cognito, OIDC, CloudFormation, SAM, Beanstalk Storage : S3Networking : VPC,EC2

  • Development to data models in modern SQL and No-SQL modelling techniques Knowledge of microservices purposed programming languages. 
  • Runtimes: java > 8, GraalVM, NodeJS, Python, .Net (proficient in one of these)Frameworks : Spring boot (must have) , Quarkus, Django , Express JsProficiency of hyperscale cloud services and frameworksDeveloping Event Driven Applications using Kafka, Zookeeper Knowledge of cloud-native CI/CD for change release. Knowledge in Test Driven Development AWS.
  • Full stack developers need to be proficient in running and managing services on AWS :PaaS : EKS, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, ROSA (One container and a serverless compute service), Service mesh Content : CloudFront, Lambda@EdgeRouting Services : API Gateway, ALB, NLB, Route53Databases: AWS Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB Event Driven : SQS, SNS, Kinesis Streams, Dynamo Streams, AWS MQ, AWS MSKafka (at least one messaging and one streaming service)Observability: CloudWatch, X-Ray, Event-BusDevSecOps : CodeBuild
