In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
The Infrastructure Lead will be responsible for managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations within the Offshore Delivery Center. This role involves overseeing the team from the ODC handling hardware, software, networks, and security to support business continuity and enable efficient delivery of services. The Infrastructure Lead will collaborate with local teams and client stakeholders to ensure alignment with company standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the ODC’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and backup systems.
- Manage cloud and on-premise environments to ensure performance and scalability.
- Operations and Monitoring:
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and capacity to address potential issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with SLA and availability targets.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus, and vulnerability management.
- Ensure infrastructure complies with security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work with cross-functional teams, including delivery teams, project managers, and client IT teams, to ensure infrastructure aligns with project needs.
- Serve as a key point of contact for escalations related to infrastructure issues.
- Incident and Problem Management:
- Lead resolution of high-priority incidents and root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
- Team Management:
- Mentor and manage the infrastructure team, ensuring they have the skills and training necessary to support the ODC.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for hardware, software, and service support.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in managing IT operations in an offshore delivery center is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in network infrastructure (LAN/WAN), servers (Windows/Linux), virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency in ITIL practices and tools for incident, problem, and change management.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and tools.

Certifications (Preferred):
- ITIL Certification.
