At IBM, as a Product Manager, you help manage the full lifecycle of an offering: from validating need to determining the business model and defining the solution requirements. Going beyond the traditional focus of timetables and budgets, you use your keen insights into what customers want in their own business plan - and work across disciplines to the best solutions to a problem.
As a Product Manager, you help influence product strategy, deliver business results through execution of that strategy, and help manage the lifecycle of the product. Other responsibilities include:
- Own the delivery of that strategic roadmap for a product, including planned releases and backlog of projects etc
- Responsible for prioritizing and defining new features through customer feedback and business priorities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, development, user experience, marketing, sales, and operations to ensure your product is relevant, acceptable and profitable
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, create TCO studies, and competitive landscape
- Collaborate with Pricing and Finance on pricing strategy
- Making Analysis and business cases to justify required investment with revenue projections
- Lead the delivery of Product Management milestones like features/enhancements/depreciations/pricing action etc through – Playback 0, Commit pitch, Launch Readiness etc
- Monitor and analyze product performance metrics
- Collaborate with Design, Development, and Product Management team to bring 3-in-a-box concept
- Work closely with the GTM team to contribute in defining GTM strategy for various geos
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in cloud technology.
· Good Understanding of IBM POWER/PowerVS, x86 and various compute technologies
· Experience with server sizing, pricing, configuration creation, and TCO tools
· Familiarity with enterprise applications like SAP, Oracle etc
· Experience with any of the following IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP etc preferred
· 3-5 years of product management experience with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) or Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offerings
· Experience driving high growth business, new product introduction with strong focus on establishing credibility in the market
· Knowledge of the cloud infrastructure market segment – technologies, best practices, vendors, and competitive landscape
· Hands-on, data-driven approach, and an ability to work concurrently on several projects
· Cross-functional leadership experience across development, operations, design, support, sales, product marketing, marketing, and partners
· Experience with creating presentations and presenting to internal teams and clients
· Knowledge of IBM Power Virtual Server and Competitive analysis experience
· IBM Cloud or other IaaS certification
· Familiarity with SAP, Oracle sizing
· Knowledge of SaaS or IaaS platforms, or knowledge of AWS or Azure IaaS platforms
· Bachelor’s degree in technology or related field preferred
