Ready to re-imagine the product management role? At IBM, as a Product Manager, you are responsible for the full lifecycle of an offering: from validating need to determining the business model and defining the solution requirements. Going beyond the traditional focus of timetables and budgets, you use your keen insights into what customers want in their own business plan – and work across disciplines to build the best solutions to a problem. If being the CEO of your offering excites you, consider a product management career at IBM.
IBM Cloud for SAP is looking for a new product manager to add to our growing organization. This position will be focused on the go to market and product/sales enablement of new products and offerings related to running production SAP ERP workloads in IBM Cloud, as well as integrating existing IBM Cloud and software products with SAP to help our clients transform yesterday's ERP into the intelligent, AI-powered core of their business.
Successful candidates will have deep existing understanding of the existing complexities of running workloads in the cloud, and have solutions on how to better engineer and deploy cloud products to support enterprise workloads – we’re not looking at LAMP stacks, we’re looking at highly complex, highly customized enterprise landscapes with tens to hundreds of individual servers.
Successful candidates also understand that creating cloud solutions go beyond software and hardware architecture - products are created by people, and the relationships we create and nurture are key to our success as a company. As part of this role, you'll be expected to work closely with your colleagues at IBM, SAP, and other businesses as well as with our clients, as the success of our portfolio requires ongoing feedback from stakeholders both inside and outside our company.
As a Product Manager focused on the Go To Market role, the successful candidate in this role will be the internal face of the product: to sales, to support, and to customers. They will lead the creation of promotional content, sales and partner training materials, customer win and success stories, and assist stakeholders throughout the business in bringing our products to a successful launch through customer adoption.
Product Managers lead the charge to develop a deep understanding of market dynamics, develop robust business plans, and enable offering and Go To Market (GTM) readiness for features and functionality of the product. They facilitate cross-discipline resource deployment and prioritization, and work with their peers, development leads, and engineering to lead decisions and activities across divisions and with external stakeholders. They are accountable for key outcome-based metrics, including usage and user experience, market performance, sales results, and operational metrics.
