This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and optimize EMEA Capital Planning and Inventory Management across a dynamic landscape of 15+ small and medium-sized countries. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will drive strategic initiatives to enhance capital utilization, streamline the end-to-end ordering process, and optimize stock levels at a country and regional level. With a global scope, this position will play a pivotal role in expanding the Leasing process worldwide, ensuring alignment with CIO strategies while fostering collaboration across geographies and stakeholders. The SME will be responsible for leading EMEA Capital Planning and Inventory Optimization, coordinating overall AP Capital Planning, E2E Ordering Process, and Stock Management across 15+ small and medium-sized countries. This role also includes managing the incremental workload associated with the global expansion of the Leasing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tighter control on budget and capital utilization.
- Build management systems to align purchases with CIO strategy and country/geo needs.
- Track budget usage geo-wise and ensure approvals are aligned with strategy.
- Improve ordering process cycle time and optimize stock levels at the country level.
- Ensure adequate stock levels in each geo location and appropriate usage.
- Support and manage the expansion of lease coverage globally, ensuring smooth execution within the team.
- Implement robust control systems and governance for efficient operations
- Collaborate with Devices@IBM (execution organization) to enhance delivery excellence
- Foster strong communication and relationships with internal and business unit stakeholders.
- Partner with Business/HR teams to gather onboarding details.
- Conduct yearly, quarterly, and monthly interlocks with relevant teams.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Develop and recommend modifications to enhance existing processes and procedures.
- Monitor order deliveries and ensure timely execution.
- Track partner performance and manage governance effectively.
- Collaborate with chapter leaders to implement best practices across geographies.
- Proven experience in capital planning, inventory optimization, and process management.
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Assertive and effective communication.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills for global collaboration.
- Ability to engage as an independent professional in negotiations.
