The Resident Solutions Architect (RSA) is a seasoned expert in digital transformation, blending deep functional expertise with a proven history of driving strategic change in the enterprise. With backgrounds in cloud architecture, DevOps, site reliability engineering, and team management, RSA professionals have held pivotal roles in shaping and executing comprehensive technology initiatives throughout their careers.
As a trusted advisor, RSA collaborates closely with customer organizations, engaging stakeholders at every level — from executive leadership to practitioner teams. They act as the bridge between business objectives and technical solutions, translating complex requirements into actionable strategies that maximize the impact of HashiCorp products.

What You’ll Do:
1. Technical Strategy & Vision
a. Advocate for the adoption of HashiCorp solutions by demonstrating how they solve industry challenges.
b. Drive organizational alignment with best practices, customer goals, and industry trends.
c. Provide technical insights and guidance for strategic initiatives, feature releases, product launches, and go-to-market strategies to internal product managers, sales, and marketing teams.
d. Validate and contribute to technical materials, best practices, and validated designs to continuously inform and enable internal stakeholders.
e. Collaborate with the assigned Customer Success Engineer on strategic roadmap and technical workstreams to drive customer maturity.
f. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices, sharing insights and recommendations with both internal and customer audiences.
g. Represent HashiCorp as a thought leader at industry conferences and events, building relationships with clients, partners, and developers.
2. Architectural Design & Oversight
a. Design and guide the development of resilient, scalable, and secure architectures that meet customer requirements and satisfy the objectives of governance, risk, and compliance controls.
b. Deliver comprehensive, integrated solutions by utilizing existing infrastructure and ecosystems.
c. Collaborate with customer teams to understand requirements, establish guidelines, and ensure the integrity of system architecture.
3. Developer Advocacy & Community Engagement
a. Act as the voice of the developer within the organization, championing developer needs and gathering feedback to shape solution design.
b. Build and foster an internal developer community by creating and delivering technical content and enablement material.
c. Develop partnerships with internal communities, tech leaders, and influencers to drive the adoption of HashiCorp technologies.
● 9+ years of experience designing and implementing technical systems and services.
● Thorough understanding of DevOps processes and automation toolchains.
● Deep expertise in cloud and on-premise infrastructure management, application deployment, and practical security methodology.
● Familiarity with security and compliance requirements for shared services.
● The ability to work well independently and in group environments.
● A proven track record of assisting with or driving cloud transformation at one or more organizations.
● Experience managing cloud maturity and capability assessments, leading the design and implementation of cloud governance and operational processes, and developing cloud transformation roadmaps.
● Familiarity with cloud service providers and their core offerings, common technical platforms, and shared service management at scale.
● The ability to speak to all levels of an organization, whether at a deep technical level or at the executive level.
● The ability to explain complex technical topics in simple terms.
● Strong technical writing capabilities.
● Proven experience in a technical leadership role (e.g., Solutions Architect, or Developer Advocate) with hands-on knowledge of software development and system architecture.
● Extensive understanding of the cloud practitioner and developer ecosystems.
● Working proficiency with one or more of the tools in the HashiCorp product suite is a plus.
● Experience as a technical lead on a platform engineering/SRE team is a plus.
● Cloud certifications are a plus.
● Experience and high level of comfort with public speaking in technical forums.
● English professional level proficiency is a plus
