Your Key Responsibilities:
- Product Ownership and Growth for Cost and Capital Management:
Effective usage of maintenance and operations funds along with capital investments in the assets that keep planes, trains, utility companies, renewable and power generation companies, manufacturers, and facilities running is critical across the world. This is a Technical PM role for an individual that will leverage information in Maximo and tooling such as Apptio to continue transformation of the cost and capital management processes in Maximo Application Suite. With the increasing capabilities of Generative AI, large language and time series models will provide you the ability to transform the cost and capital management that you will bring to our Maximo users. In addition,
- Subject Matter Expertise in Cost and Capital Management and Generative AI:
The ideal individual must have experience in the generation, aggregation, management and reporting of maintenance and operations costs and/or the capital planning and execution for large projects. You would be expected to understand and ultimately own the on-going refinement of these processes. The ideal individual will have experience using decision making tooling potentially even generative AI as these will be leveraged in Maximo, and have started to be applied to the cost and capital management processes. Determination of the most critical customer needs, the multi-modal approach to address those needs, the business case for making the investment, and then the guidance of the design and development resources to create the offerings will be part of your responsibilities.
- Customer, Partner and Peer Engagement:
Work with our customers, partners, and peer PM’s to identify and refine the prioritized use cases and associated products within the suite. Collaborate on needs and the solutions we can provide to address the needs. Collaborate with IBM Research as part of the definition and delivery against the AI usage within these usecases.
- Agile Development Stewardship:
Work with development to define and address packaging needs and also support on-going development projects through SME knowledge of the technologies and the teams supporting them. Work with development to support work management development work along with Generative AI development work.
- Strategic Vision and Engagement:
Develop the vision and direction of our overall/collective MAS strategy, packaging, licensing, and commercial terms for the offering.
- Subject Matter Expertise in Cost and Capital Management:
This is a Technical Product Manager role for an individual that has experience in asset management with awareness of the cost and capital management flows. The expertise is needed to clearly define the usecases, identify and combine the technologies required for the solutions, and prioritize the capabilities into more competitive offerings for Maximo Application Suite. Experience utilizing tooling such as Apptio for total cost of operations determination would be valuable.
- Bringing Products to Market:
The optimal candidate will have experience in bringing solutions to asset management customers. This is a fundamental capability for Maximo that is being revolutionized and we are seeking a candidate with existing experience to lead this work.
- Stakeholder Management:
Cross functional collaboration & communication is key to the success of this role to ensure stakeholder expectations are managed given the constant balance between new features & ensuring a quality & stable product that continues to meet existing clients’ needs. The Product Manager role is part of the team that helps set the priorities for the development sprints, in collaboration with the development team.
- End-to-End Product Development Expertise:
Work with product development to define and address packaging needs and also support on-going development projects through subject matter expertise of the technologies and the teams supporting them.
- Subject Matter Expertise in Generative AI:
This is a Technical Product Manager role for an individual that has experience with creation or usage of Generative AI large language or time series models. The expertise is needed to bring new insights and more effective decision making into more competitive offerings for Maximo Application Suite.
- Partnership Experience:
Our products within IBM leverage multiple forms of partnership. Experience in evaluating, establishing, and managing partnerships will contribute to success in the role.
- Hybrid Cloud Products:
The Maximo Application Suite product is provided as OnPremis and SaaS. Experience with products that are sold and operated on both is important in the role.
