As the DevOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving the organization's digital transformation by leveraging Gen-AI technologies to modernize applications, fostering a culture of collaboration, and promoting best practices in DevOps. Your expertise in Gen-AI technologies, DevOps practices, Agile methodologies, and relevant tools will be crucial in ensuring the success of the application modernization initiatives and the overall developer experience.

Su función y responsabilidades

As an Application Developer specializing in Gen-AI technologies, you will be at the forefront of developing and deploying cutting-edge software solutions for application modernization. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that leverage Gen-AI technologies to modernize existing applications and create new, innovative products.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, architects, and product managers, to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Utilizing your expertise in Gen-AI technologies, such as machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision, to create intelligent, data-driven applications.
  • Ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of the developed solutions by adhering to best practices and design patterns.
  • Participating in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, and deployment.
  • Implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Maven, Ant, Gradle, Chef, Puppet, Docker, and UrbanCode.
  • Automating, measuring, and optimizing system performance and processes to ensure efficient and reliable delivery of software.
  • Designing and implementing tools for automated deployment and monitoring of multiple environments, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
  • Staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in Gen-AI technologies and incorporating them into the development process.
  • Collaborating with the CIO Developer Platform team to maintain focus and investment in tools critical to the organization's success in application modernization.
  • Ensuring security and compliance of the platforms, including patching, vulnerability detection, and threat mitigation.
  • Providing on-call IT support and monitoring technical operations to maintain the stability and reliability of the developed solutions.
  • Collaborating with other teams to introduce best automation practices and tools, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Embracing an Agile culture and employing relevant fit-for-purpose methodologies and tools such as Trello, GitHub, Jira, Excel, and MS Project.
  • Maintaining good communication skills and the ability to lead global teams remotely, ensuring effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Experiencia profesional y técnica requerida

- Resource should have 2+ years of experience in software development

- Proficiency in Python programming language & frameworks : Fast API - a plus

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Familiarity with IBM Cloud and AI-ML technologies (watsonx)

- Experience working with developer tools like GitHub, VSCode, CI/CD pipelines

- Good understanding of relational and NoSQL databases like Db2, PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc.

- Experience using & building containers and containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift

- Familiarity with Micro-services and serverless architectures
