IBM Quantum Safe has developed a product in collaboration with the IBM Guardium security software brand. This product is generally available for clients. There are a number of features that are to be added to this product based on a market driven product roadmap. The role of the product manager will be to help shape the roadmap based on client and market needs , from market research, and our own technical point of view and experiences gained from client engagements.
Some of the responsibilities of this role will include:
- Gain and maintain a very good understanding of what competitive capabilities exist within the market landscape in the Quantum Safe area
- Develop competitive and market driven insights on Quantum Safe
- Establish constructs and processes to identify market needs and to prioritize them for product
- Drive and support agile product development practices
- Establish constructs and processes for sourcing desired capabilities from external market, IBM Research, IBM Software, client engagements or internal QS engineering team
- Strike the right balance among Design, Business and Technology to ensure consumability of the product
- Provide product requirements to the engineering team and work hand-in-hand with the engineering leader to drive quality and timely deliverables / product features
- Engages in marketing of the product
- Explore and engage in external alliances and partnership as appropriate
- Evangelize product capabilities at industry events, conferences, etc.
- Collaborate across IBM Business Units to drive synergies in product capabilities as well as in consumption of product across all BUs
- Organize user groups and solicit on going feedback that will ensure that the product continues to remain relevant to the field
- Minimum of 10-12 years of relevant industry experience
- Technical expertise and experience in cybersecurity and cryptography
- Deep knowledge of IBM products and services
- Knowledge of Quantum Computing fundamentals
- Team leadership, coaching, mentoring
- Experience as a product manager or in similar discipline
- People management experience
