The Partner Technical Specialist delivers this mission and vision by developing partner technical capacity for both Ecosystem Partners and for the Select Client Segment. As a Partner Technical Specialist, your mission is to influence and develop the Ecosystem technical capacity to positively generate repeatable scale that ultimately is reflected in an increase in IBM’s revenue. Your technical expertise (measured by skill and delivered via POX) is what differentiates you, and IBM, in the ecosystem space. Through this expertise, you expand our ecosystem partner and clients business horizons for your specialty (IT Automation).
As a Partner Technical Specialist - Territory (PTS-T) you'll work closely with sellers and clients to develop relationships, understand their needs, earn their trust and show them how IBM's industry leading solutions will solve their problems whilst delivering value to their business.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
· Client Strategy Development: Create strategic plans for clients, focusing on IT Automation solutions.
· IBM IT Automation Solution Design: Define practical IBM IT Automation solutions that enhance existing technology stacks.
· Proof of Concept Delivery: Provide proof of concepts and simplify technical concepts to ensure client comprehension.
· Building Credibility and Trust: Establish credibility and trust with clients, which is essential for closing complex technology deals.
- Depth and breadth of knowledge regarding the IT Automation and FinOps market in order to consult and advise, and quickly grow your reputation as your clients' credible, trusted advisor.
- Knowledge on IBM IT Automation and FinOps solutions (Instana, Turbonomic, Concert, Apptio, Flexera).
- Experience on competitive IT Automation and FinOps solutions and products (Dynatrace, AppDynamic, Datadog).
- RH Openshift / Kubernetes experience.
- Experience and knowledge with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, etc.)
- Knowledge of Infrastructure automation (HashiCorp Terraform ideally)
- Knowledge of RH Ansible.
