Introducción

As an IBM Z Mainframe Software (zSW) Brand Technical Specialist within IBM, you'll lead the definition and software architecture of end-to-end solutions that include the IBM Z platform.

 

Considered the go-to expert, you'll understand your client's broad technical strategy and challenges and will be able to eloquently articulate the benefit of IBM Z solutions that results in value optimization for them. You'll advocate for clients and guide technical teams to ensure planning, builds and deployments run smoothly and delight customers.

We are seeking talented individuals passionate about making an impact in working with alongside our zSW sales team to sell mainframe hardware solutions to both maintain and grow existing revenue streams and relationships and to develop opportunities. You should have a passion for technology, be ambitious, ready to interact with a variety of other highly motivated people, and love to work in a changing environment. 

 

As a zSW Brand Technical Specialist, you will build in depth expertise to deliver industry centric business solutions. You'll work closely with existing technical specialists to understand how we work with clients to develop relationships, understand their needs, earn their trust and show them how IBM's industry leading solutions will solve their problems whilst delivering value to their business.

  • Strategic Mainframe Solutions: Crafting client strategies for mainframe infrastructure and applications.
  • Comprehensive zStack Solutions: Defining and detailing IBM zStack solutions for client enhancement.
  • Effective Client Education: Delivering simplified proof of concepts and educating clients.
  • Building Trust for zStack Deals: Building trust for closing complex zStack technology deals.
  • Client-Centric Management for IBM's Technology Value: Expertly manage a client set to showcase IBM's technology value proposition, ensuring clients realize the full potential of IBM solutions.
  • Comprehensive Ownership for Growth: Take ownership of the technical aspect of the sales process, understanding client requirements and translating those into products and solutions that need.

You will need to build and provide critical resources to develop the best solution for the client. Applying IBM brand strategies and offerings, methods, and models, to ensure world-class design and delivery for some of the world's most creative IT and business solutions.

 

You will actively engage clients, establishing trust and credibility in our ability to help them grow their businesses. Solving strategic and tactical business problems with IBM confirmed technology solutions.

  • Technical selling mindset, presentation skills, quick to grasp new technologies and what they mean for customers.
  • Passion for technology, passion for overachieving, active listening, communication, curiosity, coachability, resilience, collaboration, goal oriented.
  • You have demonstrated technical expertise in your current role having worked on opportunities that have closed and that you have contributed to.
  • You can demonstrate the ability to articulate key technical concepts to business stakeholders.
  • Technical software selling experience.
Experiencia técnica y profesional preferida
  • Mainframe Market Expertise: Utilize deep knowledge of the mainframe market to build a trusted advisory role and quickly boost your reputation. Training in IBM’s zStack brand is included.
  • An Understanding of AI: How AI can be used in business applications in concert with the mainframe.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year. 

This position is eligible for participation in an IBM Sales Incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunity will be based on performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change. The compensation range listed for this position is the IBM Reference Salary that is used when you are not actively participating in a sales plan. Your actual base pay plus incentive opportunity will be determined by the Incentive Plan assigned to you.
