In this role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering our own platform that Apptio operates on, with a variety of exciting and challenging features. For example, our work includes interaction with various teams within the company to deliver applications and systems that help our growth and automate processes such as authentication, authorization, provisioning and delivering shared components used by other engineering teams.
The right candidate will be a solid Typescript engineer that collaborate exceptionally, have a knack for delivering improved processes that support automation and demand a high-performance environment.

Us
We are a high-performing cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and designers working on delivering elegant solutions to complex business problems, and we have a proven track record of delivering successful applications providing the platform and shared services to other Apptio and IBM teams supporting a wide range of products, working with external and internal stakeholders.


Responsibilities
You will work with your scrum team to deliver impactful and valuable features bi-weekly. You will personally own end-to-end features from concept to design to production, and partner with product managers, other engineers, and other teams to achieve high-quality solutions.

Experiencia profesional y técnica requerida
  • Passion, energy, and the desire to work very hard to deliver cool software
  • Experience on Object-oriented software engineering with Typescript, Node and React.js
  • Strong understanding of complex data models, business rules, and SDLC best practices (CI/CD, automated testing)
  • Experience designing and implementing REST APIs
  • Experience in working with customers, product management, and senior management to deliver value to the market
  • Collaborative team player with effective communication and cross-functional teamwork skills
  • Proven experience in delivering commercial software, including product and release lifecycle management
  • Fluent English language skills
Experiencia técnica y profesional preferida
  • Technical leadership experience in building scalable and complex software systems
  • Robust knowledge of data structures, algorithms, enterprise systems, asynchronous architectures, and object-oriented programming
  • Experience in developing micro frontend applications and guiding other development teams with the processes. Preferably using Piral
  • Experience developing Platform applications that are used across the company by other teams and understanding the impact of this architecture in a deployment environment
  • Open to working with various technologies (e.g., Java, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP services (compute, storage, databases, networking, caching)
