In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
- High-Level Product Development: Draft high-level product specifications and translate them into code, ensuring attention to system integrity, feasibility, quality, security, maintainability, and modularity.
- Technology Advocacy:
- Champion the use of appropriate technologies and define streamlined workflows to adhere to coding standards, ensuring efficient and effective development processes.
- Collaborative Problem-Solving:
- Collaborate with teams globally to address production escalations, working closely with the reliability team to achieve timely resolutions for customer issues.
- Peer Review and Collaboration: Actively participate in peer review discussions encompassing requirements, specifications, designs, code, and other artifacts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a role involving network design, implementation, and administration, with at least 5 years specifically focused on Edge and/or Network Cloud technologies.
- Proven experience in application consulting, ideally within a large enterprise setting.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing principles, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
- Extensive knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/2, etc.), routing, switching, VPN, Firewalls, Load balancing, and SD-WAN
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Familiarity with IBM's Edge and Network Cloud offerings
