About the Role:
As a Supply Chain Professional at IBM, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that the right products and parts are available at the right time and place to meet customer and business needs. This role sits at the heart of IBM’s operational excellence, combining data analysis, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to drive efficiency and innovation across the supply chain. You will be responsible for:
· Planning: Forecasting demand and aligning supply strategies to meet business goals. You’ll analyze historical data, customer trends, and product lifecycles to create accurate demand plans.
· Inventory Management: Monitoring stock levels, optimizing inventory placement, and reducing excess or obsolete inventory. You’ll help balance cost, availability, and serviceability across IBM’s supply chain.
· Supply & Demand Analysis: Evaluate supply chain performance using key metrics and data trends to support planning decisions, resolve challenges, and ensure accurate demand forecasting based on inventory strategies and customer behavior.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll work with advanced tools and technologies (including SAP, Kinaxis, Watson 360) and collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, finance, supply, engineering, development, internal sales) and stakeholders to solve real-world challenges and continuously improve processes.
What You’ll Do:
- Analyze logistics and inventory data to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Assist in managing supply and demand planning to meet business and revenue goals.
- Support product lifecycle management and sourcing strategies for new product introductions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expedite materials and improve fulfillment processes.
- Apply agile, design thinking, and AI tools to enhance supply chain operations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Willingness to innovate and contribute to process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience
- Experience or familiarity with SAP and Kinaxis.
- Exposure to data analytics tools or platforms
- Understanding of inventory management, sourcing strategies, and product lifecycle concepts.
