IBM Security Verify is placed in Gartner Leadership Quadrant as a cloud-based Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution that helps organizations manage user identities and access to applications and resources. It provides features like multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, risk-based authentication, and adaptive access as well as user lifecycle journeys along with associated governance, aiming to protect customer, workforce, and privileged identities. The solution also offers identity analytics to provide insights into user behaviour and potential risks.

Your role and responsibilities

•               Lead the design and development of reusable React-based UI features and components integrated with backend APIs in a cloud-native environment.

•               Design, iterate, and refine UI and UX concepts for our products.

•               Develop responsive and accessible front-end interfaces using ReactJS in a microservices-based architecture.

•               Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

•               Collaborate with team members across different layers of the tech stack as well as product management to deliver cohesive, high-performance features.

•               Work across Linux and Windows operating systems to ensure broad compatibility and deployment readiness.

•               Translate functional business requirements and technical specifications into reliable and maintainable software.

•               Perform unit and integration testing to ensure product quality and performance.

•               Implement and maintain test automation to ensure product reliability.

•               Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in collaboration with other engineers.

•               Drive greenfield initiatives, and influence product direction while mentoring junior engineers across cross-functional teams to shape technical strategy.

•               Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required technical and professional expertise

• 11+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on full lifecycle design and development of cloud-native enterprise applications.

• Proficient in building front-end interfaces using React, Typescript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and integrating with backend APIs.

• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, consumption, and integration across frontend services.

• Hands-on experience in deploying full stack applications on AWS and RedHat OpenShift (OCP/ROSA), with the ability to build end-to-end cloud-native solutions.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), and configuration management using tools like Jira and Git.

• Experience with monitoring tools suited for full stack observability such as ELK Stack, Instana, and Grafana.

• Strong testing background with Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, SonarQube, and frontend testing tools (e.g., Jest, Cypress).

• Exposure to Shell scripting and Node.js for task automation and lightweight services.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with strong collaboration skills.

•               Effective cross-functional collaboration skills in multi-team, multi-region environments.

Preferred technical and professional experience

•               Experience in implementing and designing microservices, micro-frontend and reusable frontend components.

•               Exposure to security domain concepts, especially UI-facing aspects like OAuth, CSP, and secure session management, would be added advantage.

•               Familiarity with backend architectural design patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture).

•               Working knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards.

•               Experience with Carbon Design System or similar UI frameworks.

•               Prior experience designing and developing UI frameworks deployed as SaaS offerings.

•               Knowledge and experience in security and privacy by design principles.

•               Hands-on experience with cryptographic algorithms, protocols (e.g., TLS, FIPS), and Java security frameworks.

•               Understanding of security vulnerabilities, secure coding practices, and implementation of appropriate resolutions.

•               Ability to create pixel-perfect visual elements including icons, UI themes, color palettes, etc., for different devices & screen resolutions – browsers, desktop, iPad

•               Experience in mobile app development and design.
