We are looking for a skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineering Professional with a primary focus on Oracle Database Administration to join our SRE organization. This role demands strong hands-on expertise in managing Oracle databases across hybrid infrastructure, as well as experience with cloud migration, AWS RDS, and Terraform-based automation. You will play a critical role in ensuring database reliability, scalability, and performance while driving cloud adoption and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Administer and maintain Oracle databases (12c, 19c) in production and development environments.
- Architect, implement, and support highly available Oracle solutions on AWS using RDS and EC2.
- Lead efforts in migrating legacy on-prem databases to AWS Cloud.
- Execute Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and manage database migrations from Oracle to PostgreSQL.
- Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and efficient SQL query execution.
- Design and automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and scripting languages like Shell or Python.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and availability through robust monitoring and backup strategies.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for database deployment in collaboration with DevOps and engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related incidents and perform detailed root cause analyses.
- Continuously assess and implement tools to enhance database reliability and maintainability.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience as a Core Oracle DBA, including high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning.
- Proficient in managing AWS RDS for Oracle and leveraging other AWS components (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).
- Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code and automated deployments.
- Solid knowledge of backup/recovery techniques, Oracle Data Guard, and RMAN.
- Familiarity with monitoring solutions and operational alerting.
- Experience working in environments governed by ITIL practices and change management protocols
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional).
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or CouchDB.
- Hands-on exposure to Apache Kafka setup and maintenance.
- Experience managing Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM) or KVM-based environments.
- Familiarity with hybrid or multi-cloud deployments.
