As a performance analyst you will be responsible for running performance analysis on Power Server on Linux Operating system, optimizing workload performance across all layers starting from processor core micro-architecture, compilers, library and system/application level.Setup performance environments with IBM PowerVM Virtualization and software stack. Work on SAP HANA workloads and run performance anlysis.
As a Performance Analyst your responsibilities would be to work on multiple performance projects
- Study workloads characteristics on IBM Power and x86
- Executing & measuring peformance of various PowerVM (Hypervisor) functions & features
- Using various performance tools to analyze performance & identify bottlenecks / opportunities for improving PowerVM (Hypervisor) stack/functions performance
- Provide tuning & performance optimizations suggestion to improve performance
- Working on client performance issues
- Interact and collaborate with hardware, software and firmware development teams during system bringup and ensure the system meets its performance objectives
- Build automation frameworks, test cases and result analysis scripts.
- 10+ years of overall IT experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a System Performance Analyst
- 5+ Experience with Database performance analysis and tuning
- Experience doing Performance Analysis, Performance Tuning & Performance Optimization
- Knowledge & Experience in using Performance Monitoring Tools like vmstat, netstat, iostat, nmon, topas, top etc
- Good understanding of Hypervisor & Virtualization concepts
- Good understanding of Virtual IO concepts
- Good understanding of System Architecutre
- Good understanding of Operating System concepts
- Good communication & presentation skills.
- Knowledge & Experience in C/C++ programming
- Knowledge & Experience in python programming
