As a Platform Engineer within Client Engineering, you’ll be a key player in a multi-disciplinary team made up of Architects, AI Engineers, Designers, and Business Technology Leaders. The brightest and creative minds collaborating with clients as one team and contributing to experiential working sessions and builds. The outputs of which produce pilots that lead to the deployment of enterprise-scale solutions at start-up speed.

As a Platform Engineer within IBM Client Engineering, you will play a key role in delivering unique client co-creation experiences to accelerate their digital transformation. You will be involved in all aspects of integrated solutions, from identifying requirements to making technical decisions that impact the business case. As a Platform Engineer, you will work as an integral part of cross-functional teams to realize the full potential of our hybrid cloud and AI solutions providing business value to our clients.

- Leverage contemporary hybrid cloud skills (e.g., AI, analytics, DevOps, DevSecOps, IaC, automation, security, networking, and storage) with deep industry expertise and an understanding of your clients’ businesses.
- Define and communicate the unique value of IBM’s technology, both technically and commercially.
- Collaborate with other teams within IBM and participate in client sessions that include a range of automation and hybrid cloud technologies
- Support the solutions architecture plan and be a hands-on "builder" during client-facing engagements.
- Advice on solution architecture to align with platform best practices, with a focus on our clients target environment to ease transition to deployment.
- Work with deployment teams to transition platform assets and information to provide seamless transitions for our clients.
- Hands-on experience with a wide range of cloud and automation technologies.
- Practical knowledge and direct experience with virtualized on-premise and cloud-based computing platforms.
- Experience in building application and infrastructure deployment automation workflows.
- Technical experience in a cloud-related domain such as automation, cloud native, hybrid, or public-cloud technology, such as such as Red Hat OpenShift Kubernetes, WebSphere, MQ, Kafka, HashiCorp, Elastic, IT Automation and so on.
- Understanding and practical application of Agile best practices.
- Proficient in at least one common cloud native programming language (Java, NodeJS, TypeScript, Python, HCL, Rust, Ansible, etc.)
Additional requirements:
- You will have completed your tertiary studies by March 2025 OR have graduated from a Thailand University no earlier than 2023.
- You are an Thailand Citizen/Permanent Resident.
You studied a technical degree i.e., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent subject. - You will have excellent communication and presentation skills that are equally engaging, compelling, and influential.
- Experience in deploying and operating solutions on AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of Well-Architected Frameworks from AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or Google Cloud.
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CNCF, AWS, IBM Cloud, Azure, Google Cloud, DevOps).
