Introduction

BM is seeking a self-driven and highly motivated Tactical Buyer / Operational Buyer with proven experience to join our IBM Procurement Services team, supporting key client initiatives.

 As a Tactical Buyer / Operational Buyer, you will take ownership of and execute projects.

Along with Category Managers / Strategic Sourcing Professionals and Tactical Buyers / Sourcing Professionals, you will also be providing category insights to assist strategy development.

Your role and responsibilities

* You will act as subject matter expert in end to end purchasing processes and own primary responsibility to achieve client success for the projects/ tasks assigned.
 * You will support on-going sourcing activities including PR2PO, requesting proposals, demand management savings, and increasing compliance.
 * You will have the opportunity to advance your career by gaining deeper expertise in sourcing, while also expanding your skills in broader category management.
 * You will network with leading class sourcing professionals to support your role and career path.

Required education
High School Diploma/GED
Required technical and professional expertise

* Demonstrated understanding of how to translate business requirements into Procurement operations or specifications with best value and customer service in mind
 * Supplier relationship management expertise and client facing skills
 * Proactive character and team player attitude
 * High levels of personal drive, initiative, and commitment to business goals
 * Fluent in English, and in one European language such as German, Romanian, or Polish, though open to candidates proficient in French, Spanish, or Italian as well
 * Experience in the Facility Management category is preferred but not limited to it.
 * Strong communication skills
 * 1 year of Tactical or 1-3 years of Operational experience

Preferred technical and professional experience

* Experience with dashboards and reporting tools in general
 * Experience with e-sourcing tools
