In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
The Junior Project Management Officer supports the planning, monitoring, and coordination of project activities, ensuring that timelines, resources, and deliverables are tracked and aligned with the project objectives.
This role involves working closely with Project Managers, team leads, and stakeholders to assist in administrative tasks, documentation, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Support project planning activities, including the creation and maintenance of project plans, timelines, and resource allocations under the guidance of senior PMs.
Assist in monitoring project progress, tracking key milestones, deliverables, risks, and issues using standard project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Monday.com, Excel).
Prepare and update project documentation, such as meeting minutes, status reports, project charters, risk registers, and action item logs.
Facilitate communication across teams, helping organize and coordinate meetings, workshops, and follow-up sessions with internal teams and external partners.
Ensure adherence to project governance processes, helping verify that templates, workflows, and sign-off procedures are correctly followed.
Contribute to budget tracking and resource allocation, supporting the PM in monitoring financials, time reporting, and forecasting.
Support quality assurance and compliance activities, helping ensure deliverables meet project standards and audit requirements.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to lessons learned, best practices, and the standardization of project methodologies.
We are looking for candidates with the following background and skills:
* Fluent knowledge of English language
* Knowledge of excel
* Problem solving
* Degree in Engineering or Economics (we also consider other educational backgrounds)
* Certifications or previous experience in Project Management
* Knowledge of Excel and/or PowerPoint
* Availability to travel is an additional prerequisite
