Software Development Manager – QA Performance & Release Leadership

We’re looking for a Software Development Manager with deep expertise in Quality Assurance for Performance and Stress Testing to lead a specialized team focused on ensuring the scalability, reliability, and resilience of our Business Automation products.
In this role, you will lead three strategic teams:
Performance QA Engineering
Project & Release Management
Security Engineering

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor distributed, international teams with a strong focus on Performance QA Engineering.
Drive the strategy and execution of performance and stress testing initiatives, ensuring systems meet scalability and reliability goals.
Define and drive the end-to-end PQA strategy across multiple product teams within CP4BA, focusing on automation, release quality and continuous improvement. Own and continuously improve a robust PQA strategy framework aligned with business goals and our technology roadmap.Bring innovation and increased productivity into performance quality practices, strive to ensure high performance standards. Be a key voice in PQA-related decision-making.
Collaborate with senior leadership, product management, architects to define roadmaps aligned with business growth and technical innovation.
People and performance management to drive high performance culture that is integral to IBM and its large customer base to deliver the best quality offerings
Act as a champion of company values by promoting and integrating them into daily operations, employee engagement, and organizational initiatives.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Proven experience managing software engineering or QA teams, ideally in a distributed and international setup.
- Over 10+ years of experience
Extensive hands-on experience in performance testing, including load, stress, and scalability testing.
Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, or similar).
Solid understanding of performance optimization techniques and basic security principles.
Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, automation concepts
Strong background in agile methodologies and release management.
Demonstrated leadership in managing complex portfolios and cross-functional initiatives.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience mentoring and coaching team members for career growth.
Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including product managers, architects, designers, support, and other engineering teams.
Prior experience in Business Automation or enterprise software environments.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Exposure to cloud-native architectures and modern development stacks.
Experience working with remote teams across multiple time zones.
Proficiency with tools like Jira for agile project tracking.
