Your role and responsibilities

IBM PowerVC (Power Virtualization Center) is a virtualization and cloud management software designed specifically for managing IBM Power Systems. It provides a simple, flexible, and powerful interface to manage virtual machines (VMs) on Power hardware running AIX, IBM i, and Linux.

  • Manage & lead a team of ~15 engineers focussing on design, development & support of PowerVC deliverables and execution balancing OnPrem & PowerVS strategy.
  • Own stakeholder management & communication (both internal and external)
  • Drive a High Performance Culture
  • Implement the relevant strategy in line with the overall Power strategy 
  • Ensure efficiency of daily operations & delivery
  • Identify & track risks
  • Encourage cross funtional collaboration
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred education
Master's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
  • Bachelor's/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with experience in Virtualization & Cloud Management Domain
  •  15+ years technical engineering experience including 5+ years of technical leadership/ management experience.
  •  Possess expertise in Virtualization, Cloud & as-a-Service areas
  •  Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of developers.
  •  Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams. Proven Interpersonal soft, oral, and written communication skills.

Preferred technical and professional experience

Strong technical background with hands-on experience in Virtualization 
Prior system development experience in OpenStack, Python, Ansible & Cloud technologies
