Position Summary:
IBM is seeking an Outbound Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving global sales success by developing and delivering innovative, multimedia, and multi-channel enablement solutions. Partnering closely with regional and worldwide sales teams, you will lead the strategy, design, and execution of scalable product enablement content and tools that empower sellers to acquire new customers, increase renewals, and expand strategic partnerships.
You will act as the bridge between product, marketing, and sales, ensuring that enablement materials are aligned with business goals, product capabilities, and market needs. Your work will directly influence sales productivity and performance by equipping teams with the knowledge, messaging, and assets they need to succeed in a competitive landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: As a member of the cross-portfolio outbound product management team, you will serve as a leading voice of cross-portfolio strategy, align multiple portfolio stakeholders, deliver valuable outcomes, and realize the intended impacts.
- Strategic Vision: Assist in creating and sharing cross-portfolio strategic guidance to shape product vision and roadmaps aligned with IBM’s business goals.
- Collaborate with global sales leaders to identify enablement needs and opportunities.
- Design and manage the lifecycle of sales education content, including videos, interactive guides, presentations, and digital learning modules.
- Gather and analyze customer and sales team feedback to inform product development, messaging, and enablement strategies.
- Facilitate consistent messaging and alignment across all sales channels and regions.
- Partner with product marketing and product management to translate complex product features into compelling sales narratives.
- Drive new customer acquisition by equipping sales teams with targeted, high-impact materials and campaigns.
- Develop metrics and measure metrics that identify enablement impact on sales performance.
- Contribute to the cross-portfolio strategic roadmap, helping define pathways to a unified platform vision.
- Agile Team Facilitation: Foster an Agile team environment, maximizing productivity throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, sales enablement, or commercial operations—preferably in a B2B or SaaS environment.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, communications, operations, or related product/process management and marketing fields.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, customer journeys, and go-to-market strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Proven ability to create compelling customer-facing content.
- Strong understanding of enterprise software, platforms, and cross-product integration.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills: Ability to properly organize, maintain, and prioritize multiple cross-functional tasks.
- Ability to establish, organize, and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Strong interest in product management with the ability to work in fast-paced, iterative environments.
- Adaptability: A proactive and flexible attitude, with a strong desire to learn and grow in a product management role.
