Introduction

 

As a Regional Intelligence and Crisis Management Expert, you will be the organization’s eyes and ears on the ground, responsible for monitoring geopolitical, environmental, technological, and social developments that could escalate into crises. You will ensure timely activation of crisis management protocols, maintain and update regional playbooks, and coordinate with local teams to ensure a swift and effective response.  You will be confident in using and helping IBM operations team use and implement new AI models and agents, looking to demonstrate IBM's leadership in field and showcase the future of intelligence security using IBM technology and tools.
Your role and responsibilities


  • Intelligence Monitoring & Analysis
    • Continuously monitor open-source intelligence, government alerts, and proprietary data feeds. Using AI models and helping to develop and implement new AI solutions for tactical intelligence analysis.  
    • Identify early indicators of potential crises (e.g., political unrest, cyber threats, natural disasters, pandemics).
    • Produce regular intelligence briefings for your region.
  • Crisis Preparedness & Response
    • Ensure regional crisis management procedures are up to date and aligned with global standards.
    • Maintain crisis management tools/applications, and regularly test crisis playbooks and escalation protocols.
    • Lead or support crisis response efforts, ensuring timely communication and coordination with stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Coordination
    • Act as the primary liaison between regional teams and the global crisis & intelligence management office.
    • Facilitate training, tabletop exercises, and after-action reviews with local teams.
    • Build strong relationships with geo teams, local authorities, NGOs, and industry partners.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Maintain detailed logs of intelligence assessments, crisis events, and response actions.
    • Provide post-incident reports and lessons learned and assist in developing contingency playbooks and planning to improve future preparedness.
Required education
Pre-University Qualification
Preferred education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise

 

  • Strong understanding of regional political, social, and security dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in using intelligence and data analysis tools.
  • Fluency in English and relevant regional languages is a plus as you will need to engage with a large global team from range of different cultures and backgrounds
Preferred technical and professional experience

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Relations, Security Management, Emergency Management, or related field preferred. 
  • 5+ years of experience in intelligence analysis, crisis management, and/or emergency response.
