Your role and responsibilities

A Senior Cloud Architect with deep technical expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and a strong track record in advisory and enterprise architecture roles. This individual will operate at the intersection of business strategy and technology, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, driving the design and adoption of highly strategic and complex cloud solutions.

 This role goes beyond technical design, requiring thought leadership, client engagement, governance oversight, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of cloud transformation initiatives.

Strategic Advisory & Leadership:

Serve as a senior cloud advisor to C-level executives and enterprise architects, aligning cloud strategy with business goals;
Guide cloud adoption, modernization, and digital transformation programs through executive-level architectural leadership;
Lead cloud strategy engagements, including cloud visioning, maturity assessments, and roadmap development;

Enterprise Architecture & Governance:
Define and govern enterprise-grade multi-account, multi-region AWS architectures for resilience, scalability, security, and compliance;
Set architectural direction for mission-critical systems and regulated environments (e.g., finance, healthcare, government);
Define and enforce cloud governance models, including landing zones, network topology, identity frameworks, and cost control mechanisms;

Technical Leadership:

Drive the end-to-end architecture of large-scale application portfolios, data platforms, and infrastructure solutions on AWS;
Provide technical mentorship and leadership to architects, engineers, and delivery teams;
Design and validate architectures using well-architected frameworks, fault tolerance models, and cost-optimization strategies;

Client Engagement & Influence:
Build strong, long-term relationships with client stakeholders, serving as a strategic advisor on cloud innovation and architecture;
Lead architecture design sessions, executive briefings, and technical workshops;
Support pre-sales activities by authoring technical proposals, presenting to clients, and contributing to RFP responses;

Experience in IT architecture, including 7+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud architecture;
Proven leadership in enterprise cloud strategy, cloud adoption frameworks, and application modernization efforts;

Deep understanding of AWS core and advanced services, including serverless, containers, analytics, networking, and security
Expertise in multi-tier architectures, hybrid connectivity, automation frameworks (IaC), and compliance design (e.g., HIPAA, PCI, ISO);
Demonstrated experience delivering cloud transformations at scale with multiple stakeholders and complex dependencies;

 

AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional.

Preferred technical and professional experience
TOGAF, SAFe Architect, or other enterprise architecture frameworks (a plus).
