In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
As an entry level Test Specialist at IBM, your technical skills will directly impact the quality of the software we create, and your recommendations and findings will help us make sure we're delivering the best of the best. Whether the testing is manual, automated, or cognitive, you hold a key role in releasing the best deliverables to our clients and IBM alike. In your role you may be responsible for:
- Building automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Protractor, Katalon, Cucumber, etc.
- Create test data and test environments
- Write and execute test scripts under the direction of a senior tester and test lead and identify errors and validate successes for any software solution
- Identify, understand, and document all programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specification goals for the given program, application or set of applications
- Do a deep-dive and present test results to clients and project teams clearly
- Define, implement, communicate and promote the new testing model to the different areas / sectors / directions, etc. of the company, ensuring the methodology and best practices, monitoring compliance, proposing improvements and adjusting the model / processes on which it is implemented.
- Generate and implement the metrics and thresholds of effectiveness/efficiency of the model and propose the necessary changes/adjustments for the evolution, updating and continuous improvement resulting from the measurements, in addition to guaranteeing through indicators the coverage of all categories of testing quality.

- Document, communicate and maintain established policies, standards and processes for the testing model.
- Receive all test management requests, validate them in scope and project portfolio, identify delivery and timing expectations, record them and manage the allocation of profiles, resources and capacity. Maintain oversea of current/active test plans and capacity occupancy status of teams involved in testing.
