The Cloud Delivery Leader is responsible for working with Client/IBM Consulting/Business Partner/ GSIs/CSMs and TAMs in the successful delivery of cloud projects, ensuring that they meet our client’s technical and business requirements. This leader drives collaboration with technical stakeholders across client, business partner, and IBM teams to deliver cloud solutions, from design to deployment.
- Across “IBM Cloud Squad (Platinum CDL & Architect, CSM, TAM, Cloud Tech Seller)” and Delivery Partner (IBM Consulting, TEL, GSI/Business Partner) establish governance to review:
- Solution requirements / architecture, and solution design documentation
- IBM Cloud scope, goals, and deliverables
- Client success criteria for key milestones & deliverables, address performance issues and ensure satisfactory outcomes
- Project documentation for completeness, currency, and accessibility
- Formal Solution Design Review & Sign-off by all parties (Cloud SRE, SMEs, Advise, Platinum, Complex Solutioning, Delivery Partner) prior to build & implementation
- Delivery plan that meets targeted timeline and expected cloud consumption
- Lessons learned, RCAs throughout the project
- Mentor IBM Cloud/Delivery Squad and assigned Project Manager (PM) in overall program management disciplines
- Assess the Project Plan, review project timelines, milestones, risks/assumptions/issues dependencies (RAID), deliverables and assist in mitigating risks
- Ensure proper ownership and action is taken for issues and progress blockers
- Identify any critical path issue and work with Executive Sponsors to resolve (i.e., resources, skills, Cloud infrastructure)
- Transition to day-2 operations
- Ensure the establishment of an effective support model that is aligned with client expectations
- Integrate Cloud across IBM by establishing a RACI to clarify responsibilities and enhance project outcomes integration with CSM, TAM, Complex Solutioning, Cloud, IBMC/GSI, Business Partner
- Provide Executive Communications (i.e., Cloud, Managing Director, Sponsor) to include project scope, status, major milestones, RAID and any request for executive involvement
- Ensure proper integration with client ITIL operational and practices, e.g., incident management, problem management, change management, and continual improvement
- Leverage knowledge and maintain proficiency in IBM Cloud offerings and services to meet requirements to optimize costs
- Identify critical IBM product feedback and improvements and communicate to product teams
- Conduct Project Close-out and turn-over
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree plus 6 - 10 years of related experience; minimum of 3 years of experience onboarding and migrating to cloud solutions
- Strong Leadership with ability to work directly with C-level Clients
- Strong knowledge of IBM Cloud
- Excellent application and infrastructure troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- PMP PMI desired
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
