As a member the Promontory Australia team at IBM you will contribute to the firm's efforts in working with clients on challenging strategic, risk management, and regulatory compliance issues.
Our team of specialists offers the following services across Prudential, Conduct and AML Regulation:
- Risk Management - Providing advisory and assurance services regarding organisational transformation across risk management, governance, culture, accountability and compliance.
- Remediation Services - Assurance to regulators and firms over customer focused remediation programs.
- Regulatory Framework - Advising regulators and industry associations on building regulatory frameworks.
- Regulatory Liaison - Helping our clients navigate relationships with regulators.
- RegTech - Working with IBM teams and leveraging their technology assets in advising clients on AI based solutions and associated risk governance.
We have a diverse client base in Australia, which includes some of Australia’s largest financial institutions and clients drawn from the public sector.
- Drive aspects of project lifecycle including opportunity management, pricing, contracting, project setup, compliance management, project support, cost management and invoicing.
- Operations support helping the business transact with clients, manage staffing requirements (including staff hiring), disseminate and present to Promontory leadership business performance insights, and forecast/help to solution the profitable growth of the business.
- Produce weekly and monthly management reporting including staffing and engagement reporting, capacity management, revenue and cost profile, resource utilisation and implications for workforce planning.
- Assist the team navigate the IBM Consulting ways of working, tools and processes and suggest ways to improve efficiencies. Understanding and experience of IBM Consulting business management and systems will be important to help manage the efficient execution of Promontory’s operations and to support client facing teams.
- Be able to track issues and changes, produce status reports and handle financial and procurement transactions.
- Proficient in the use of Excel and PowerPoint essential to be able to navigate relevant data and disseminate key information to Promontory personnel.
- Will report into the Promontory Australia Practice Lead and work with the assistance of project managers in the Promontory Australia business unit driving projects to successful completion. Will be in close collaboration with functional teams including but not limited to Finance, HR, Recruitment, Risk, Legal.
- An undergraduate degree in either Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or Law - with postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.
- At least 6 experience in Financial services, Consulting, Regulator, Compliance, Risk management, Governance or legal.
- Track record working in a fast-paced and unstructured environment with aptitude for identifying and developing innovative solutions to client challenges.
- Analytics and data: Proven track record of successfully delivering highly analytical and data intensive work. Strong understanding of data governance and experience in working with large and unstructured datasets to draw meaningful and actionable insights and outcomes.
- AI: A strong understanding of AI fundamentals, including AI governance, and model development and application.
