Introduction

We are looking for a UI Developer Intern to assist in designing and developing user interfaces for IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) applications. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in front-end development, user experience (UX) design, and workflow automation within enterprise environments.

Your role and responsibilities
  • Assist in designing and developing UI components for IBM BAW applications using Coach Views, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Work with team on customizing UI layouts to enhance user experience and usability.
  • Integrate UI components with REST APIs and business process data.
  • Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing UI performance.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and backend developers to align UI design with workflow requirements.
  • Assist in testing UI components and fixing bugs based on feedback.
  • Document UI designs, development procedures, and best practices.

Required technical and professional expertise
  1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  2. Basic Knowledge in Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  3. Understanding of REST APIs and JSON data integration. 
  4. Familiarity with databases (SQL, DB2, or Oracle) and writing queries.
  5. Familiarity with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  7. Good communication and teamwork abilities.
