The Servers & Storage Systems Assurance organization is responsible for ensuring the quality and customer satisfaction of Z, Power, and Storage hardware and software products developed by IBM. This mission includes product integration, test, early programs, field quality analysis and response and compliance to regulator requirements around the world.

 

The position is for skilled Manager to lead and manage a set of highly talented Technical Professionals for IBM Power Systems. Individual will lead a team of 50+ Test Specialist who will be validating Power Systems - Hardware/Firmware/Software/Solutions. 

Your role and responsibilities

As the Senior Manager/Second line manager  for Z Systems Test:

Provide strategic direction to the overall team

Grow technical/management talent 

Work closely with stakeholders to identify/mitigate risks, deliver product on time with quality

Contribute to Organizational initiatives

Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred education
Master's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise

Knowledge of Z Servers and Solutions. Awareness of Release/Development process

• Minimum 10 years of people management experience

• Ability to identify talent and grow them

• Knowledge of Product quality and end-to-end automation - Risk identification, mitigation

• Proven leadership track record

• Strong communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills

IBM Z Servers - Operating Systems, Firmware, Hardware and Solutions knowledge

• System Testing & automation

• Virtualization 

• Systems Management

• Cloud Technologies

 

• Agile Methodologies 

 

 

Preferred technical and professional experience
