We are seeking a Partner Technical Specialist (PTS) to join our team in Korea. This role is instrumental in driving the success of our partner ecosystem by providing technical expertise and pre-sales support for our cutting-edge solutions. The Partner Technical Specialist (PTS) is a technical sales expert who plays a key role within the IBM Partner Ecosystem, collaborating closely with IBM business partners to build trusted relationships and drive success through IBM technology.
Using IBM’s cutting-edge technology, you will help shape partners’ technical strategies, integrate IBM solutions into their architectures and operations, and lead successful co-selling and co-engineering efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Align IBM technology with partners’ technical strategies and support solution development
- Design and implement joint solutions leveraging IBM technology
- Work closely with IBM’s internal technical experts to deliver the best customer and partner-centric solutions
- Enhance partners’ technical capabilities to scale IBM-powered solutions in the market
- Create co-selling opportunities and facilitate Proof of Technology (PoT) engagements between IBM and partners
- Build & Service
- Understand partners’ solution value and collaborate with IBM to develop differentiated joint solutions
- Enable partners to effectively design and deploy solutions leveraging IBM technology
- Sell
- Support partners in identifying business opportunities and expanding their sales pipeline with IBM technology
- Empower partners to propose IBM technology-driven solutions to customers and achieve successful sales outcomes
Technical Expertise
- Experience with both structured and unstructured databases is essential. This includes hands-on experience with relational databases (RDBMS) and non-relational databases (NoSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.). Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL query writing and database optimization is required.
- Understanding of Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Docker, and Infrastructure.
Solution Co-Creation
- Guide partners’ technical strategies in alignment with IBM’s technology vision
- Lead joint Proof of Technology (PoT) initiatives and solution demonstrations between IBM and partners
- Drive technical enablement and upskilling for partner teams through joint training programs
Strategic Innovation
- Leverage IBM technology and industry expertise to support partners’ digital transformation
- Foster strong IBM-partner collaboration to create differentiated market value
Understanding of IBM’s Data product portfolio (Watsonx, Db2, Netezza, DataStage, IBM Cloud Pak for Data, etc.)
