IBM is looking for an Outbound Product Manager to drive greater adoption and market success for IBM’s Observability portfolio products.
An ideal candidate would be entrepreneurial, analytical, persuasive, and creative problem solver, who is exposed to, and is well versed in, both business and technology concepts.
We are looking for a proven ability to execute both strategically and tactically.
In this role, you will play a central role in the product management organization and our go-to-market strategy and execution. This person will become the voice of the customer, understanding key needs and use cases across our Software portfolio. This role will work cross-functionally – across product management, sales, marketing, etc – to seamlessly support all relevant IBM teams in strategically positioning, selling, and advocating for our Observability portfolio products, both externally with customers and internally across IBM. With a deep focus on customer needs, this person will be responsible for defining new use cases, go-to-market strategy and execution to drive the increased adoption of IBM’s Observability products.
- 3-5 years of project management, product marketing, or program management experience
- Excellent oral and written communication and collaboration skills; ability to draw clarity out of complex and ever-changing environments; ability to influence others
- Have a strong project management background, likely as a product manager, product marketer or program manager
- Proven ability to synthesize complex issues and solutions into simple stories
- Attention to detail, ability to analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, and scope business requirements
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on optimizing processes and driving efficiency
- Experience in outbound product management, technical product management or product marketing, particularly in software, cloud, infrastructure-focused roles.
- Experience with DevOps or infrastructure software.
- Familiarity with modern DevOps pipeline tooling such as Ansible, GitOps.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools.
