Our IBM Partner Ecosystem Marketers are responsible for knowing the Ecosystem across all go-to-market (GTM) motions (Build, Re-Sell, Service), the offerings and the market trends – what’s important to whom and why and how IBM, Business Partners, and the Value-Added-Distributors (VADs) together can uniquely drive the IBM business. The Global Solution Marketing Manager for Data Platform will act as the cross-motion focal across the Data Platform portfolio and focuses on global initiatives that span a broad set of responsibilities, from recruitment to activation to demand generation.
As the Global Ecosystem Solution Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in connecting the dots between IBM’s Marketing Teams, the Ecosystem Marketing Teams, and our Business Partners. This is an exciting opportunity to drive success in the Generative AI (GenAI) space, with a focus on the AI for Business marketing campaign. Your primary mission is to unlock the full potential of our partner ecosystem, ensuring seamless alignment, engagement, and activation across three critical areas:
Partners as a Route to Market
•Drive marketing success by strategically aligning the right partners to the right tactics and audiences.
•Leverage tools and programs, such as joint business development activities and co-marketing initiatives to optimize partner impact.
Partners as an Audience
•Position our partners as a key audience in go-to-market strategies.
•Involve partners in product launches and activate them during the execution of major marketing campaigns.
Partners as an Asset
•Celebrate and showcase partner success in marketing efforts, including sharing partner stories, featuring partners in events (IBM-hosted and third-party), and developing standout content assets and activations.
Key Responsibilities:
As part of our Partner Ecosystem Marketing Team, you will:
•Serve as the central point of contact for the Data Platform portfolio across all go-to-market motions (Build, Sell, Service).
•Analyze and leverage ecosystem insights to craft strategies that align offerings, partners, and market trends.
•Drive global initiatives spanning recruitment, partner activation, and demand generation.
•Collaborate across teams to ensure consistent execution of marketing efforts that highlight the unique value delivered by IBM, Business Partners, and Value-Added Distributors (VADs).
- Ecosystem Knowledge: Strong understanding of the partner go-to-market model and the ability to navigate complex ecosystems.
- Marketing Programs: Experience designing and executing impactful marketing programs with business partners.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Data and AI offerings, with an emphasis on watsonx.
- Collaboration: A team-oriented mindset and ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders.
- Communication: Fluent in spoken and written English, with excellent storytelling skills to convey complex concepts effectively.
- Geography Experience: Previous experience working at a regional or market level, driving localized marketing strategies.
- B2B Partner Marketing: A proven track record in B2B partner marketing, especially within the technology sector.
- Marketing Execution: Strong background in executing end-to-end marketing campaigns and initiatives.
