We’re looking for a motivated college student to join the Chief Sustainability Office as a Supply Chain Sustainability Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to explore how sustainability is embedded into global supply chain strategy, operations, and partnerships — all powered by IBM’s cutting-edge technologies and analytics platforms.
As a Supply Chain Sustainability Intern, you will:
- Support supplier engagement strategies that promote environmental responsibility, compliance, and resilience.
- Use AI-powered tools and dashboards to analyze supply chain data related to emissions, energy efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Contribute to the development of sustainable procurement policies and supplier KPIs, leveraging automation and intelligent workflows.
- Help monitor emerging regulations and map IBM’s supply chain impact to support advocacy and compliance efforts.
- Leverage IBM technologies (including Client Zero, Watsonx, and other analytics platforms) to assess sustainability risks and opportunities.
- Participate in cross-functional projects that align sustainability goals with business value creation.
- Attend internal forums and supplier reviews to observe strategic partnership development and innovation in action.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program (Sustainability, Supply Chain, Environmental Science, Business, Engineering, or related field).
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a passion for data-driven decision-making.
- Interest in sustainability, environmental responsibility, and ethical business practices.
- Experience or interest in using AI, automation, and data visualization tools to drive insights and efficiency.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Highly organized with a proactive mindset and eagerness to learn.
