Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice on Mexican labor and employment law, regulations, and practices.
- Support HR in the implementation of Mexican labor laws and regulations.
- Support HR and business leaders in managing complex labor issues, including business contracts negotiations, workforce strategy, policies, procedures, terminations.
- Draft and review employment-related agreements documents and policies.
- Manage litigation portfolio, external counsel and legal budgets related to labor matters.
- Support HR and other functions in case of inspection of labor and social security authorities.
- Ensure timely reporting and communication of updates, results, and relevant information to internal stakeholders, including audit teams, internal controls, Operations management, and regional leadership, regarding significant developments in high-volume, high-impact, or financially relevant labor litigation cases
- Monitor changes in labor legislation and assess their impact on the business and develop strategic actions.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on labor law compliance and best practices.
- Collaborate with global legal and compliance teams to ensure alignment with corporate policies and standards.
- Mexican Law Degree with at least 8 years of legal experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel preferably in a multinational company.
- Solid knowledge and experience in labor and employment law, preferably within a multinational or technology-driven environment.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication and listening skills, including ability to explain legal concepts in a clear, simple and compelling manner to local and global teams.
- Critical thinking and problem solving - Ability to spot and assess labor risks, resolving issues effectively.
- Highly collaborative and proactive person, with the ability to prioritize and to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative and business enabler attitude should be able to work and integrate with local and global cross-cultural and cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility.
- Highly strong standards of integrity and business ethics; able to build trust with others by acting consistently with organizational expectations
- Specialization or master's degree in Employment Law or Labor Relations is highly desirable.
