At IBM work is more than a job - it’s a calling: To build. To design. To code. To consult. To think along with clients and sell. To make markets. To invent. To collaborate. Not just to do something better, but to attempt things you’ve never thought possible. Are you ready to lead in this new era of technology and solve some of the world’s most challenging problems? If so, let’s talk.
Do you want to work on cutting-edge topics in generative AI, agentic systems, and their real-world applications?
As an intern, you will join a dynamic team of top AI researchers, tackling advanced challenges in AI . Your work will span a range of topics, including agentic systems, reasoning, utilizing external tools, and evaluation of LLMs and generative AI applications (which includes addressing key aspects such as model safety, metrics, and benchmarks).
Potential Internship Projects
• Research innovative methods for evaluating and testing LLMs and agentic systems in real-world scenarios.
• Develop new approaches for customizing language models to specific tasks and domains, applying them to enterprise challenges.
• Explore methods to enhance LLM reasoning capabilities.
• Investigate ways to improve LLM safety and responsible responses.
• Explore the value of Agentic RAG systems for different use-cases.
• Investigate how to extend LLMs abilities on Math reasoning, Common sensing, Think, Plan, and Utilize external tools.
• Create flexible frameworks for building and assessing generative AI solutions.
• AI driven data security
The exact research area and project scope will be defined towards the start of the internship. A successful outcome of your internship could result in a research paper submission to a leading AI or NLP conference.
If you are a passionate student in AI, NLP, or machine learning, who enjoys innovating, solving real-world problems, and wants to work alongside top researchers on exciting challenges, your place is with us!
