In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
As an Architect in IBM Consulting, you'll serve as a leader in defining solutions for clients. You'll be the advocate for the client while guiding the technical team to implementation. You'll collaborate with client stakeholders and internal partners to understand the business problem and requirements, constraints of the system and concerns of the various stakeholders to systematically transform detailed solutions (architectures) for the client.
As MAS Infrastructure Architect you will design and implement robust, scalable, and secure environments for hosting IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS). This role involves architecture cloud, on-prem, or hybrid infrastructures, ensuring high availability, security, and disaster recovery while collaborating with enterprise teams.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Architect infrastructure solutions (cloud/on-prem/hybrid) to host MAS.
- Design and configure OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters for MAS containerized applications.
- Ensure scalability, security, high availability, and disaster recovery for MAS environments.
- Integrate MAS prerequisites such as Db2, Cloud Pak for Data, and Cognos.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, cloud engineers, and other stakeholders to align infrastructure with business needs.
- Implement automation and Infrastructure-as-Code for efficient deployment and management.
- Deep knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift and container orchestration.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Expertise in networking, storage, and security architecture for enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with MAS deployment architecture and sizing.
- Experience with hybrid cloud deployments and multi-region architecture.
- Familiarity with Cloud Pak for Data and integration with MAS.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and capacity planning for containerized workloads.
- Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional projects.
